We have joined the RacetoZero campaign, endorsing our pledge to be net zero by 2040. Race To Zero is a global campaign to rally leadership and support from businesses, cities, regions and investors for a healthy, resilient, zero carbon recovery. It aims to prevent future threats, create decent jobs, and unlock inclusive, sustainable growth.

Colleague surveys

Colleague surveys

Through regular colleague surveys, we gather feedback (including suggestions and ideas) on our sustainability journey and aim to understand and action areas that are important to our colleagues.

OneCity Taking Action Together

OneCity Taking Action Together

We have a clear social value mission driven by our ‘OneCity Taking Action Together’ programme. In addition to the charities we already support, we’re reviewing our community volunteering activity programme to diversify our engagement with local and national organisations. Recognising our track record in supporting apprentices, we also have an important part to play in helping young people access appropriate green skills training and mentoring.

Carbon reduction plan

Our recently published Carbon Reduction Plan has quantifiable milestones that validate the progress made to reduce our carbon footprint. Using City's baseline emission footprint as a reference point, the Carbon Reduction Plan measures the impact of the projects and initiatives we have implemented, as well as outlining further measures in development.
