Three of City’s UK businesses were presented with gold accolades at this years’ prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards on Thursday 14 September.
City Facilities Management Ltd celebrated winning gold for the third consecutive year and City Facilities Management UK, which works in partnership with one of the UK’s leading supermarket retailers, received its first gold award.
City’s engineering and construction arm (City Building Engineering Services) picked up the President’s Award in recognition for achieving 10 consecutive gold awards.
City, one of the UK’s largest privately owned facilities management companies, was praised for its sustained efforts and ethos in safeguarding over 12,000 colleagues. RoSPA also commended City’s proactive approach to engaging with colleagues and the wider community to promote health and safety awareness.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat.
“This is a special year in the history of RoSPA, and we congratulate all of our winners in this, our centenary year.”
