City unveils new brand as part of global expansion plans

Lord Willie Haughey, Founder and CEO of City, today (17 July) confirmed his ambition for significant international growth as he rebrands the company to City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd and announced a new European venture, City Facilities Management Europe.

Under a bold new identity that better reflects the company’s commercial offering and sector expertise, City  is continuing its global expansion plans via both European acquisitions and significant contract wins in the USA.

Since starting in Glasgow in 1985, City has grown to employ over 12,000 employees and have a presence across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.  In 2016, total company turnover grew to £617m, a 33% increase of £154m from the same period to 31 December 2015.

In March City completed the acquisitions of French operation, Lesprit (trading as AMF in France and MML in the UK).  Under the new entity, City Facilities Management Europe will be headquartered in Paris, with the venture providing a strategic gateway for City to extend operations into new territories including Spain, Portugal and Romania.

In the United States, City’s partnerships are expected to increase company turnover, deliver double digit profit growth and extend the scale and service provision capability of its US operations that were established in 2016 via City Facilities Management (US), headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.  As part of the strategic growth plans, City Facilities Management will continue to invest in data capture and analytic innovation which Lord Haughey sees as the heartbeat of the business.
