We are delighted to announce that City FM and City FM UK have joined CBES in winning the RoSPA Gold Health and Safety Award, an internationally recognised award for demonstrating health and safety standards.

The awards are testament to the absolute dedication of our teams to keep our people safe every single day. They also reflect our commitment to continually improving safety and compliance in support of our customers. In 2020, we carried out over 760 audits to measure health and safety compliance and provided 2,700 colleagues with technical and HSE-related training.

Mal Roberts, our Group Head of Health, Safety and Environment (UK and Europe) said:

“This is a huge achievement when you consider the amount of sites we operate in across the UK & NI, as well as the challenges our 10,000+ colleagues have faced in supporting customers and operating safely throughout the pandemic".

In addition to our RoSPA success, our cleaning teams also supported Asda in being voted the safest supermarket to shop in during the pandemic (as voted by the Grocer magazine). Stuart Wiggans, Senior Director for Compliance (Asda), said:

“Huge congratulations to you all – great result and well deserved. Thank you for helping us provide a safe place to shop and work for customers and colleagues”.

About the RoSPA Awards

Organisations that receive a RoSPA Award are recognised as world-leaders in health and safety practice. With nearly 2,000 entrants from around the world and a reach of over 7 million employees, RoSPA is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry award and widely regarded as one of the most prestigious and recognised schemes in the world.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide. With this award we recognise the best of the best, those organisations that have gone the extra mile, raising the bar for the delivery of safety in the workplace. Currently, around 7million people are directly impacted by the RoSPA Awards, but the scheme’s global influence is even wider – with nearly 2000 organisations from 46 countries represented this year.”.
